    Hi,

Are you using Windows 10 Pro? This is an issue that seems to happen only to a few Windows 10 Pro users. We can’t reproduce it on a clean Windows 10 Pro installation.

    Here is a workaround:

    1. Start the Command Prompt application.
    2. Drag the .exe installer that you’re unable to start onto the Command Prompt window, so that the installer path gets inserted there. (If it is an installer downloaded by Product Manager, click “Show Details” and select “Open in Explorer” from the small menu located on the right side of that download, so that the .exe file that should be dragged gets revealed.)
    3. In the Command Prompt window, immediately to the right of the installer path, type the three characters ” /q” (a space, a slash and q) and nothing more.
    4. Once again, drag the installer to the Command Prompt window so its path again gets inserted. (Exactly like step 2, with the same file.)
    5. In the Command Prompt window, press Enter (Return). That should make the installer start.

You find it in the Product Manager under ‘Toontrack Software Tools’

I have the same issue. I tried the steps you suggested with the same results. Just disappears and does not work.

    Would love some help.

I also had the same problem with updating SD3 (the “1714 error”).

I followed Olof’s advice without success. However, I changed the parameter with ‘ /qn’ (a space, a slash and qn) and it works.

    Try this if anyone interested.

My system is Win10 Home (21H1; monthly updated).
