I can see it in my instruments, but when I drag it, it will not load. I have used the path found in the stand alone, which opens without a problem.
When I first downloaded it, it wanted to install in cakewalk vst since I also have sonar platinum, but I changed the download path to C:\Program Files\PreSonus\Studio One 4\Plugins.
I have a 2017 Sweetwater Creation Station. Windows 10. Studio One 4 Professional. EZ Drummer version 2.1.8
Thanks for any help you can offer.
Have you tried, creating an instrument track and dragging it to that track as well as dragging to an empty space on the session?
Is it that nothing happens?

Thanked by: Jerry BolandThanks for your prompt reply on July 4th. Sorry to be a bother. I added an instrument track and the dragged the EZ Drummer into both the instrument track and also into the other area for tracks. It worked one time and then it did not work after that. I tried dragging EZ Drummer in the entire space and into a blank instrument track multiple times. I also created a separate folder for the EZ drummer .dll inside of the plugins folder and changed the path to reflect that and that did not work. Nothing happens. Although it did work once when I tried the instrument track the first time but not subsequent times. Thanks again. I really appreciate your help on a holiday.

No worries, not a holiday in Canada 🙂 although lots of US plates on the Sea to Sky highway (of course on route to Alaska… sorry I digress)
So all the bases are covered;
tried a new session
Shutdown Studio One and restarted Studio One and tried a new session
Rebooted the host started Studio One and tried a new session.

Thanked by: Jerry BolandThanks again. Yay Canada!👍. I have:
Tried a new session. I closed Studio one and reopened it and tried to drag EZ Drummer into the blank track area and into an instrument track. Nothing happened.
I also restarted my computer and tried the same thing and that did not help either. Nothing happened. (I’m not sure, but is restarting the computer rebooting the host?)
Thanks again. Your patience with a newbie is admirable.
PreSonus set to “Run as Admin”? If so, maybe run EZD2 as Admin as well. Ignorant guess.

No worries mate. Sorry, yeah, host means computer (very old computer guy) Could you post a screen print of your location entries in Studio One.
This is a long shot but; close any active session, go to your Studio One location settings and remove the location where EZDrummer is installed.
Shutdown Studio One, restart Studio One, Add the location back and try add EZD to a session. If it worked once perhaps something in the xml files that hold the configuration has become corrupt.
Just building a Windows 10 VM so hopefully I can replicate what’s going on.

Sorry forgot to ask, did you install both the 32 and 64 bit versions of EZDrummer? If so are they in separate locations and, I am sure goes without saying… don’t get them mixed up. 🙂

Thanked by: Jerry BolandGood thoughts. My Sweetwater Creation Station automatically makes me the Administrator. It is a 64 bit system, but I tried installing both 64 and 32 bit versions but that didn’t work either. Thanks for offering so much help. I really appreciate it. Hope you are having a good weekend.
I built a new Windows 10 VM and installed Studio One and EZDrummer, unfortunately, it worked as expected. So the only other thing I would suggest is (hopefully you haven’t deleted the installer and you are using Toontrack Product Manager), uninstall EZDrummer and install only the 64bit version again in;
C:\Program Files\vstPlugins\Toontrack
And point Studio One to that location.

Thanked by: Jerry BolandHi Brad. Thanks so much for your help. I finally got it to work by doing the following:
(I’m not sure exactly which step was the crucial one.)

Great that it’s working. I use Studio One almost exclusively although I still have an up to date Pro Tools rig. So any questions about using EZD in S1, just start a new thread.
Cheers
Enjoy your Sunday!
