I can't get my ezdrummer midi to load into EZ Bass.

I input both EZ Drummer and EZ Bass into my Sonar recording program. I input the EZ drummer midi into my DAW, then opened EZ Bass and finally clicked on the Drums & Keys tab in order to drag and drop the EZ drummer midi in so I can get a bass line for the drums. However whenever I tried to drag and drop the midi in it just said “Can’t add empty file.” What is going on? I thought I was supposed to be able to drag my Ez drummer midi track into EZ bass to create a bassline. It doesn’t seem to recognize the drum track though. How do I get this working or what am I doing wrong?

Hi, there are a number of other threads here requesting help due to “unable to drag and drop MIDI files from “, basically it really depends on the DAW being used as to whether it will work. You might want to have a look to see the various responses from users & tech support.

I have this same issue with Studio One & find the best way to deal with it is use drag & drop of a midi file from outside of the DAW, in my case (PC) from Windows Explorer. Also, you can drag & drop grooves directly from the Song Track area of EZDrummer into EZBass if you use Song Track functionality in EZD.
