You did not mention what module you are using. You need to midi map your triggers in your module. EZD2 will not do the mapping for you. When configuring which note to assign to your trigger in your module, reference the Midi Layout document for the EZX you want to use.

I am using a Roland tm-6. I have already changed my input notes on the module to match the EZ drummer notes. The problem is it is working fine in the stand alone version of Ez Drummer, but within Cubase, it only sometimes works.

Sometimes working in Cubase sounds like a bug and/or a Cubase problem. You may want to seek out support from Cubase or a related community. To my knowledge Cubase has a Drum Map to remap midi input/output notes. I don’t own it myself, though.

In regards to my original post, i ended up going midi out from my module to the midi in on the interface and that worked, but now the issue seems to be within the DAW. I have both Cubase and Fruity Loops. I generally just use fruity loops for making music, and Cubase for recording…but since Cubase has been a pain, and when it does work it has been having latency issues, and even the opposite of latency where the notes fall too early in front of the beat that I have just played. I have experimented with sampling and buffer size and nothing works…so I switched to try EZ drummer in fruity loops, and I have it working to where I can create/program drum tracks, but I cant get my triggers to communicate to where i can record my drums via EZ drummer into fruity loops.

FL Studio has a particular workflow and capability. They have a large and active forum community as well, you may want to check it out since it seems your issue is not with EZD2.

If you’re just looking for a workaround to get going, maybe you could record your beats into EZD2 and then bring them over to your Cubase session.

There’s a chance that someone is into Cubase/FL here and happens to see you post and help out. But if EZD2 is working as it’s suppose to, you may not get what you’re looking for here.

You could always download the trial version of Reaper, which is a great DAW, and see if EZD2 load up and plays there.
