I am looking for ECM drum grooves.
Jazz/Rock/Latin fusion where the drummer controls and drives the movements in a very loose and rhythmic fashion (sorry that is the best I can describe it). But check out this video for a much better description.
Or, like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3ytv3Wbqgo&list=UU5jb0lfRD3Gj1SWe2IPdmmg&index=40
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Perhaps EZDrummer has a midipak or expansion you could recommend?
Dropping a the needle on your vid a few times, it seems it could be some particular and technical stuff. I don’t own the EZX’s that I would instinctively check out by your description. You know you can preview what EZX’s you do not own in the Search Tab by Selecting “Show Webshop Midi”, right?

Thanked by: jazzmandanThanks for quick reply and for checking this out. Ya, I just started to listen to some fusion offerings in the search preview. Unfortunately for me, nothing kills the musically inspiration process more than sitting and sampling short snippets of drum fills and grooves. But I will keep at it. Must me something I can use in all the available midi stuff. Thanks again.

Thanked by: ShootieI don’t use edit play style creatively often, usually just to do edits/tasks. But when it comes to this type of playing, I would wonder if the Amount knob in edit play style might come in handy for you with a stock beat that is already close. Also quantizing triplets with the power hand, for the shuffle. I don’t know the style enough to give direction, but have used edit play style enough to know it gives me some crazy chops without obvious downbeats, which may be satisfying for you. Just a thought if you do enjoy editing in EZD2.
