Hybrid Racktom 1 from Pop! kit has annoying ring to it

I’m not sure if this was an intentional aspect of the sample, but the Hybrid RackTom 1 has a really annoying, noticable ring to it when it sounds off. Any groove with that tom is pretty much unusable with it.

Any particular preset? I’m not hearing any really annoying ring myself. The only thing I hear is the snares buzzing sympathetically. This is how a real drum would sound so it would be intentional.

Whichever preset had the ‘Hybrid Racktom1″ I believe ‘Attitude’.

I understand that, but it is a HUGE ring for me. No other kit piece does it, no other racktom1 does it, not other kits do it. If a drummer presented me with that drum Id tell him he needed a new drum.

Nope. Still don’t hear anything other than the snare buzz ringing sympathetically.

I’ve been recording real drumkit for 20 years. Some toms ring sympathetically with certain other kit pieces. The floor toms usually ring a bit with the kick drum. The hi rack tom usually rings with the snare depending on the tuning.

Could you post a link to an audio clip (soundcloud or similar) so I can hear how ‘huge’ it is you are hearing.
