    Hi,

converting your Toontrack MIDI to the supported formats is as easy as selecting the appropriate map wrap and then preview grooves in EZplayer Pro’s Groove Browser before you drag and drop to your DAW or Desktop. You can also drag and drop to the EZplayer Pro Arranger Tracks and specify the output format there for each Track.

If you have MIDI files in one the supported formats, that you wish to use with EZplayer Pro to convert to Toontrack format (or any other supported format), you add the folder containing them via EZplayer Pro’s Menu > ‘Add path…’. Next, you specify Instrument type (usually Drums), Hihat CC #, the source mapping i.e. the Input format (e.g. BFD 2) and click OK. Then EZplayer Pro knows how to interpret the MIDI in this folder and converts it on the fly to the formats you map wrap to in the EZplayer Pro Browser or Arranger.

    Thanks, John!

I’ll give it a shot tomorrow.

You mean select the appropriate map wrap in the master selector, correct?

Or, drag the file into the arranger, select the appropriate map wrap in that particular arranger track, press play for that arranger track (but not record, right?), and then press the record button in reaper, correct?

    Well, both yes and no.

You can preview grooves in the EZplayer Pro Browser and drag them to your Reaper track, containing e.g. Slate Drums 3.5. Set the Master Map Wrap to Slate 3.5 keyboard, preview and drag to Reaper Track.

Next alternative is to arrange on the EZplayer Pro Arrange Tracks. Then you specify each Arranger Track’s wrap format and you can set EZplayer to Follow the song, feeding different sample players on different MIDI channels, having different flavors of MIDI format.

You could drag different Kit pieces to separate Arranger Tracks and feed the Kick, Snare and Tom MIDI to e.g. Slate Drums and have the HH and Cymbal MIDI drive Superior 2 or EZdrummer.

    John
