Hi. I would like to use Superior Drummer 3 as a drum replacement tool in Studio One 5 Pro and use it with Impact XT in Studio One. I can already do this with Studio One file library and using drum gates to trigger drum tracks when assigned to Impact XT from the Studio One drum, BUT would like to know how to assign the Superior Drummer 3 drum kit/instruments/drum library to the Impact XT pads? I have real live home recorded drum tracks that I convert to Midi and would like to replace those sounds with the Superior Drummer recorded sounds if that is possible? Thank you in advance. Please note. I did try the forum for a solution first but the nearest response was locked and I could not read it.
From what you are saying you have the midi already. All you need to do is map the midi notes recorded onto the drums in sd3 to the same sound.
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
Thanks Mark. I have recorded the acoustic drums with seven mics (Kick, Snare, hihat, Tom 1, Tom 2, OH 1 & OH2). Would you suggest we convert each track to midi using Melodyne or Impact XT? Then once converted to midi how do we then map the tracks to get the sounds of the kit(s) in SD?

Hi there,
Take a quick read of SD3 Tracker in the manual here;
https://www.toontrack.com/manual/superior-drummer-3/6
and see if that answers some of your questions.
If you’re triggering SD3 then you don’t need Impact XT at all.
