First, so sorry for such basic questions. I have been drumming for a while and not had
a kit in the house. Recently purchased the Alesis DM6 with extra tom’s and cymbals and
love it.
One of my reasons for going electronic was noise and the ability to change drum kits and
sounds with the MIDI interface.
I have purchased EZDrummer and am using Solo for the ‘host’ program as I am not
interested in recording and all that. The Solo is perfect for what I want to do is
simply trigger the sounds!
The part I am stuck on is I believe I am triggering drum sounds but don’t know the best
method to get them out of the laptop back to the drum brain. Basically asking although
i can hear them from the laptop speakers need to have it way way louder?
Told you there were going to be basic questions. This is my first attempt at this and
appreciate any input. I have googled and searched youtube for this type of stuff to
no avail.
Thanks for reading this!
Well,
you should have a Line output from your laptop or headphones out.Either plug your headphones directly into the laptop or line the signal back the Line Input of your module or a mixer.

Thanks for the reply, I had DUH figured out the headphones but
still am having issues with MIDI channels or something on the
DM6 module. I can hear EZDrummer but still hear the DM6
drums. I will play with it more as today have had possibly
too many beers to be doing this stuff.
BTW, love the sounds of EZDrummer!
Thanks for the reply!
