How to set Hi Hat to be constantly closed via Yamaha DTX?

I’m sure there is an easy solution to this but I’m struggling to work it out for myself.

My setup is Mac to Yamaha DTX502 to a Yamaha TP70S pad and I’d like it to trigger a closed HiHat sound all of the time.

I won’t be plugging a HiHat controller or Foot Controller into it anytime soon but just want to hit some sweet HiHat sounds.

You can not do this directly from EZD2.

One way to do it would be right click on the EZD2 hihat you’re using and select the Details button and decide which articulation you would rather hear than your open hihat.

Then go into your DTX502 and reassign the open hihat note to the EZD2 closed hihat note. “F#1 Closed Tip” for example.
