You can cur, copy and delete MIDI within Edit Play Styles. Right-click on your kit piece for its context menu.

I tried doing what you suggested.  What happens is that after removing an element within Edit Play Styles, when I play the clips back in the Superior timeline the element that I removed is gone.  However, when I play the same clips back in my DAW or drag them into my DAW, the removed element returns.  So, the removal only seems to be working when played back in the timeline alone.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

    Hi,

any groove already dragged to your DAW will not be affected by an edit made on the SD3 Song Track.
If you make an Edit on the SD3 Song Track and then drag this groove to your DAW, the edit should definitely stay. Be sure to not have MIDI both on your DAW Track and SD3 Song Track at the same place if ‘Follow Host’ is Enabled.

As John put it, Edit Play Style doesn’t affect MIDI in your DAW. Removing/substituting parts in your DAW would be a function of the DAW itself. If you are using Logic, there are at least four ways to do this (one can get really creative from there).
