I have a rather strange drumset made up of diverse custom made historical ethnic drums and perc that I have sampled in different articulations and velocity layers that I try to recreate in SD3.
When I try to replace an instrument I lose all the articulations, so I am now stacking all articulations separately, then turn down the volume of the original sound. Simple and easy 🙂
But: when I ad my own samples all sounds end up in the middle, I would really like to have them in the same spot as the original instrument. Is there a way to do this?
Hi,
please check your microphone routing, easiest done by right-clicking a drum, then ‘More’ and ‘Route Instrument Microphones’.
You probably want to create a new mixer channel to make sure Stereo samples are in Stereo and to be able to pan as you wish in the mixer, instead of using already present channels.
