Hi, I’m new to home recording, and just getting started with EZD3. I’ve found it generally easy to use, but I can’t figure out how to open and close the hihat.
I want to hit the open hihat, then close it a moment later. (If you don’t know what I mean, listen to the intro of While My Guitar Gently Weeps by The Beatles.)
I’m a guitarist. I don’t play drums or keyboards, I’m just using a laptop for editing/creating grooves to add to my songs. My DAW is Ableton Live 12 Intro. The EZD3 grid editor only lets me hit the closed hihat with no way I can find to open it, and the Drums screen hihat is always open – the on-screen pedal does nothing.
Any help/advice would be appreciated.
On the left side of Grid Editor is a list of instruments. Click on Hi Hat and then the two down arrows. It will list every ‘articulation’.
