Hi,
I have a beat going to Pro Tools with this EZX but it sounds like someone is just hitting a single kick drum. I have the kick strikes alternating between C1 and B0 every other hit. Can I pan them a little bit apart somehow?
Thanks,
Chris
While the Made-of-Metal EZX includes 5 kick drums to choose from,
and its Product Description mentions “one extra snare, kick and tom option“,
I haven’t found a preset or a way that adds them.
It will take some MIDI customization, but you could add another instrument track in Pro Tools with a 2nd instantiation of EZD2 to play the other kick.
Ok thanks for the ideas guys, I will see what I can figure out. Hopefully I just need to read the manual or something. Considering this EZX is aimed at metal, it would be odd if having two kick drums was hard to do :).
I think it is just designed as double bass pedal on a single kick drum. That’s fine, just hadn’t noticed in the demo videos.
That’s why I also bought EZX Metal! Cause I like to pitch tune each kick drum differently. I like some aspects of Made of Metal, but I find the lack of 2 kicks to be a pain. With a double kick setup, you could even use two different kick brands to really shake things up. Heavy Metal=2 kick drums!
