Hi,
I spent hours on train rides to set up my own User MIDI Library in SD8 on a laptop. Under Windows 10 I was mouse-dragging midi files and dropping them into the SD8 Library GUI, where I also created relevant folders. This result is fantastic, I can preview and arrange drum tracks with my User Library MIDI in SD8 without the need of firing up a DAW when traveling. Big thumbs up for the software designers! 🙂
However…
When moving the files created by SD8 on the laptop into the corresponding User MIDI Library folder on my studio desktop box, running Windows 7, all my 7k+ user files are not detected in the SD8 GUI for User MIDI. Neither are the folders.
So please, what’s the trick to export the User MIDI Library when working alternatively on a studio desktop and a laptop?
For the record: I have checked that the file path is the same on both machines.
Hey Per Boysen,
Have you scrolled to your user midi file in grooves and hit the drop down menu on the right to SYNC FILE CHANGES yet? That one used to always get me too…lol

Big Bunch of Thanks, oneway! 🙂 Got it up and running now on both studio desktop and lappy. Lovely.
