Hi, I think this is a simple question. I record a basic piano midi track. I then want to drag it into the open EZ Dummer3 Bandmate. But I can’t seem to drag it into the open EZ Drummer. The midi is highlighted but I can only drag to other tracks. It doesn’t seem to recognize the open ezdrummer3 to lay it into bandmate. Anything i need to click in Logic Pro x or turn on? Thanks in advance.
Logic does not support dragging MIDI or audio into plug-ins. You will have to export it to your desktop and drag it from there.

Is it the same for Pro Tools?
John explains the steps really well in this thread.

Thanked by: mhansso9Thanks. I was wondering also.
I hope that gets fixed by Logic, bc that’s very lame.
Logic uses drag & drop MIDI for other a bunch of other purposes. So, I wouldn’t count on any real change in that respect. There is a probably a key command to export MIDI (audio is already available with bounce) which you can assign and access quickly.

so if I were to record guitar to use for bandmate, what’s the best way to export it? Should I share it to iTunes music or actually export it through a certain file size?
You can export it to an audio file from Logic to your desktop and drag it into EZD3 from there. No need for iTunes.
