Is there a way to delete unused presets in the Projects section of the File menu? I have tried deleting the files themselves, but they are still listed under “recents” when I go to the drop down menu.
I am planning to use EZ3 live, and need to switch between 3 kits — it would be super helpful for me to ONLY have those 3 projects there to choose from.
Does anyone have a solution?
Thank you!
Hi,
I don’t think anything can be done about the ‘Recents’ list but if you save your Live Kits as User Presets in the Preset Menu, you can save just those there and after you have selected the first one, you can just use the Preset up and down arrow to step between them.

Thank you for replying –
I might have this wrong…but it was my understanding that the difference between the “presets” and the “projects” was that the projects are saved with ALL the information intact, ie channel routing in the mixer, e-drum info, velocity parameters…where as the presets do not hold that info. That is why I have been accessing the kits I’ve made through the Projects file. Am I mistaken on this?
Well,
yes and no😉
If you select a MIDI Preset for your e-kit, switching between User Presets does not change this. Output routing can be saved with a User Preset. Alternatively you set up your outputs and check the Output Routing under ‘Keep on Preset change’.
Project files do indeed save the entire state of the VI, including MIDI on the Song Track(s), which User Presets does not.
