How to correctly use presets and other plugins within the same track.

Hello,
I am already an EZMix2 user and it has really helped my mixes sound better.
Here’s my question…

Let’s say that I have a recorded track of a purposefully distorted guitar and I am happy with the sound of the guitar. During mixdown, what are potential presets to apply? Should I add a high pass filter even if I add an EZM preset?

Hi,

there’s no right or wrong standard reply here. You have to use your ears (and perhaps a spectrum analyser). If there’s an unnecessary amount of low frequencies that do no good but more likely the opposite for the mix, then it’s really a good idea to apply a HPF.
