what host are you using? do you know how to set the tempo in the host?
is this where you are playing the prerecorded tracks?
if not, where or how are you are playing the prerecorded tracks?

Are the pre recorded tracks recorded to a click or are they just free ?
If they are free, you have a arduous journey with no guarantee of time and results , it can be done but be ready to build a complex tempo map ,
You have to very carefully get your audio all to line up with beat 1 or zero on your Daw , that is the first step to finding out.

the prerecorded tracks are vocals, piano and bass guitar. the are recorded through microphones and di box. using a presonus 1642 sl and presonus studio one pro2. I do know how tp change the tempo in my daw , but, I don’t want to that. just woud like the tempo of ezd2 ,which I dragged into my daw ,to match tempo of the tracks. is this even possible, or should I start with the drums and then match tempo on my recordings in the future?

Were your vocals, piano, and bass guitar played to a click track or was it live? If it was live, there is no way for Ezdrummer to match the tempo without creating a custom tempo map in your DAW. It can be done, I’ve done it. It takes a long time.

You have to go through your live tracks and make tempo changes for every measure (even every beat). You’ll essentially create a custom tempo map from your live tracks and then Ezdrummer can then follow the live tracks. I use Cubase so I don’t know how you’d do it in Studio One.

99% easier to only record your audio ( with a tempo sorted ) to EZD as a click/groove track or your daws click.
Just jam along for a moment you will find a suitable tempo .

Also consider recording the piano as midi so all your keys and drums can be changed if you want to review the chosen tempo at that point .then do bass and vocals.
If you do want some Tempo changes then you need to map em out first. with eZD playing you can instantly feel how they work too.
Unless you have a very polished drummer in the first place, for post production/editing/mixing if you want to make life good you need a referenced tempo,
then all delays, reverb times, decays, copy and paste edits will all fall into place from that point plus you can use any sort of loops including EZD , EZKeys.

Sounds like the hosts tempo isn’t actually the songs tempo and that is half the problem because if they matched then EZD would match them

thanks all for the response. none of the tracks were recorded to a click track. so I guess i’ll have to just figure it out and see what I can do to make it sound good with ezd2. thanks again….

I’m having the same issue!  Did you ever figure it out?  I’m brand new to recording period so this is all new to me. Guess I’ll be re-recording.
