How to – Brushes half / full circle on Roland TD-30 (Snare Pad PD 128)

Hello Friends of E-Drumming,

I bought the EZX Jazz for playing some stuff with brushes… I use a TD-30 and as the snare pad the PD 128S. The normal strokes work, but the full and half circle doesn’t. I see them in the menu of the snare at EZD, but they are not recognized. Is there a trick?

Hi !O!

1. What kind of MIDI cable are you using ? If it’s not the Interface MIDI Roland UM-ONE-MK2 cable… = problem
2. I suppose that you have done the good E-Drum configuration in EZ2 (MIDI Mapping : Roland)
3.  Try to change your PD – 128 S by another “PAD description” throug you TD-30 Module (Trigger Options). A PD 125X for example

These points i mention are not “THE” Solution… i know… but it’s ways to explore.

Always considering the entire “chain to solve a problem : Pads, Module, Cables, Soft configuration (EZ2, SD3), Sound Card, Drivers….
