How can I authorize EZ Drummer?
Just bought a big package with EZ Drummer and a lot of sound libraries.
I use a laptop running Win 7 64 bit for music production, (DAW is Cubase and Reason).
The laptop is usually not connected to the internet, and the wireless network card is deactivated. A couple of times per week the wireless network card is activated, and software updates etc. are downloaded. Immediately after downloading, the wireless network card is deactivated.
Having the wireless network card either activated or deactivated all the time is not an option.
How can I authorize EZ Drummer?
We updated our copy-protection system a couple of years back to avoid
problems for people like you. If you have a problem now I hope you are not
running the latest version of EZdrummer.

Thanks for swift reply.
I wanted to wait with the install (and authorization) until after asking, as I’ve read people having problems related to this.
Now, how do I best proceed? After installing EZ Drummer 2 and the many libraries/soundbanks, should I activate my wireless network card and authorize online, before deactivating the wireless network card again?
What I’ve read is that if installing EZ Drummer and then authorizing online, the authorization will be lost the moment one deactivates the wireless network card. And if authorizing offline, with the wireless network card deactivated, the authorization will be lost when activating the wireless network card.
If you could please advise me with a step-by-step guide as to how to best proceed now, it will be greatly appreciated ![]()

Yes.

Should no longer be the case.

Can someone please provide me with a step-by-step guide on how to authorize when my computer’s wireless network card is activated/deactivated several times a week?

As I understand from Toontracks own website and the above link, and from numerous forum posts on several web pages, one cannot authorize online and then deactivate one’s wireless network card, and one cannot activate offline with the wireless network card deactivated and then activate one’s wireless network card afterwards. If doing so, the authorizations disappears/becomes useless, and one must start the authorization process all over again, because the computer is read by EZ Drummer as being a totally “new” computer.

Ok.
Seems as if my last post was written while you published yours.
I’ll activate my wireless network card, and try to authorize online, and then deactivate my wireless network card. Hopefully I will be able to use the software then.
Also, if there’s old information on your websites: http://www.toontrack.com/faq/my-product-is-suddenly-unauthorized-why/ , you should update it ![]()
