How to authorize a demo to become full version

Hi. I’ve tried the demo of EZD2 and love the product. I’ve bought it (along with a bonus expansion pack). I’ve installed the Product Manager app, and downloaded the EZD2 full version. Do I need to uninstall the demo version first (I’d rather not do this, because I’ve already created tracks I want to keep)? Or should I manually authorize EZD2 and will that then turn the demo into an authorized full version? Or should I run the installation of the full version and will that keep the work I’ve created?

 

Also, the demo installation asked where I wanted to save the libraries, which I did on an external drive. I started to install the full version but didn’t see that option before I’d decided not to install it yet. Will I have that option again?

Hi,

The demo and the full version can both be installed at the same time. The demo can not be turned into the full version, but you can export settings (“Save Project”) from a demo instance (even after the evaluation period expires) and import into the full version.

No, you will not get the option again to choose library location (unless you uninstall demo/full and then delete /Users/Shared/Toontrack/Preferences/com.toontrack.superior.auezdrummer.plist). But it’s possible to move that EZDrummer folder to where you want it, then start EZD2, which will ask you to locate it.
