How to Assign Electronic Sound to a Rim (using mouse/keyboard)? Is it possible?

Hi – I’d like to assign an 808 clave to a rim articulation on racktom1.

I have added the 808 clave to my Drums view as an instrument (shown on the left in a box), so that I can select it within the eDrums Settings panel. It looks like I need to remap here and the manual describes 2 ways of doing it, but both involve hitting the pad.

I thought I’d be able to do this when I don’t have access to my edrums, using only mouse/keyboard, but I’ve not been successful.

The rim keeps sounding like the acoustic rim that loads with the kit.

Can someone please help me out?
