How to add EZD3 plugin to Garageband if EZD2 is already loaded

I’ve been using EZDrummer 2 as a Garageband plugin for a few years and now that I’ve upgraded to EZDrummer 3 I can’t figure out how to load it as a plugin – if I follow the obvious route through AU Instruments/Toontrack/EZDrummer it just loads 2 automatically.

 

Any tips?

Hi,

“EZdrummer 3” should appear in the same menu in GarageBand as “EZdrummer” (2). Does the Product Manager show that the EZdrummer 3 AU is installed? Click “Show Details” and then “Installation Info”. If yes and you still don’t see it in GarageBand, try restarting the computer. Sometimes that’s needed after installing new AUs.
