How to add 5- or 9- to a chord

    I’m not sure why you are pressing the shift button to change the 5th or 9th.

    From the manual:

    You even have the options of flattening or sharpening the 5th, by click-holding the ‘5’ until the ‘5th’ selection menu pops up to adjust the ‘5th’ note up or down a half step. The ‘9’ and ‘11’ can be adjusted in a similar fashion.

    So, you click the ‘Details’ menu at the top of the Chord Selector wheel and it shows the chord tones available. For example, you click and hold the mouse button over the ‘5’ button and a small selection menu pops up and you select the ‘-5’. See the pic below.
