After Cubase opens the song, I see the loading of the Superior Drums and it can take about 60 seconds after the song opens. Is this normal?
There are number variables.
Is SD3 the only plug-in in the session?
Are there any other sample based VIs loading from the same disk in the same session.
Is the disk where your samples stored also the system disk?
SSD or spinner (mechanical hda)?
How much RAM does the host have? How much is being used in the session?
Is SD3 stand-alone loading faster than in Cubase?
Is this consistent over multiple sessions?
Mac or PC?

I run it in Cubase with a I7 and 16 gigs of ram on a PC with Windows 10.
If you’re running the samples on a HD and not an SSD, 60 seconds isn’t that bad. It also depends on the size of the sounds. I can be using a small kit of under 1GB and it’ll obviously load faster than a 5 GB kit.
