Shouldn’t put words in their mouths.
    Its easy enough
    1. setup a studio have all the neccessary gear.
    2. Hire in what you dont have.
    3. Play acoustic guitar and use whatever you want to use, compressor, eq, reverb
    4. Record and make a preset. Each instrument could have many presets all programed in.
Thats it time consuming and expensive so youy can see the cost have to be hight to get back investment
Acoustic Nebula does the same thing.

I presume it’s all plug-in based, all EZmix based, not using outboard hardware.
How would you copy a Neve compressor into EZmix?

I notice on most of the presets for vocals or guitar that they
Are used as inserts rather then aux sends. Aren’t most f. On vocals always sends not placed directly as an input?

I know it’s an older thread, but they probably are just using a non “locked” version of the plug. One where all the different modules are accessible and tweakable. I’ve spent years making my own chains with the plugs I’ve purchased, and the more I use EZmix the more I like it, and think it’s very complimentary to the other gear I own.
    Well done, guys!

Since the effects for EZMix are provided by Overloud (as I was told by Scott in this thread: http://www.toontrack.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=129356&mpage=1&key=&#129403 , also in the startup window of the demo it says “DSP effects algorithm developed by Overloud under the supervision of Toontrack”) I’m guessing they’re simply using their plugins!

Their plugins do have a good reputation (Breverb first and foremost) and within the hands of the right person can surely shape great sounds!

I messed around with the demo recently and was pretty impressed by what it does (could have and additional 1 or 2 controls and it would still be EZ, but I’m guessing they’d sell less preset expansions then).

That being said, for what it is, the EZMix series is too expensive IMO.
If the expansions are 39 bucks each give away the core application for free without presets since it’s a presets only thing.
