How do you prevent EZDrummer changing the tempo of my Cubase project?

Please can somebody tell me how to prevent EZdrummer from changing the tempo of my project when I move anything from the vst to Cubase (pro 15)?

EZDrummer3 is BY FAR the worst piece of shit I’ve ever spent money on. I’m so angry I’ve wasted so much time trying to make it work as expected. It’s driving me insane. Why would anyone EVER need a vst instrument to change the fucking tempo without asking?!!!!! What use is that to anyone? EZDrummer version 1 was great and didn’t do any of this idiotic nonsense. Why did you trick me into thinking EZDRummer3 would be like 1, but with better sounds? It’s not. It’s just a horror show all of its own. Any help appreciated.

The latest EZ Drummer version is 3.1.2. Try updating first but as suggested above we need to see what you are doing wrong.  Is EZ drummer set to follow the host DAW?  If yes it should play along with your Daw’s tempo.  Does that work correctly?  Check this first.  Next explain how you are physically moving the midi from the plugin to your Daw.  I just higlight the entire midi track in EZdrummer and drag it into my Daw on my second monitor. Never a problem.

In Cubase – open the Settings > MIDI > MIDI File > Import Options and enable “Ignore Master Track Events on Merge”.

Whether the tempo is imported or not is not determined by the plug-in. Typically, the tempo information is embedded in the MIDI file itself, and it is up to your DAW settings to decide whether to follow that tempo or ignore it.
