Not enough info to truly understand your situation.

You are loading EZDrummer “inside” your DAW as a plugin, right?  You could record-arm the track that EZDrummer is on and record the midi to your DAW. Or you could record-arm ezdrummer so it records when you press play in your DAW. Typically telling which DAW your using up front will come in handy, and what you’ve tried so far.

I’m thinking along the same lines as Shootie: it doesn’t sound like you are loading EZ Drummer as a plugin within your DAW. Once you’ve loaded it as a plugin, EZ Drummer should follow along.

I’m trying with studio 1/6 and pro tools studio.  Yes, EZD3 is being used as a plugin and not stand alone.  I can record enable the tracks (which are either instrument or aux tracks in pro tools and studio 1 , same likeness) but, after record, nothing gets printed on midi record side.  I would like to be able to record either way so, I can also use EZD3’s capability to render out separate audio files out of EZD3.  There’s a couple of steps I seem to be missing.  Also, I can record multi tracks in PT studio.  The reason why I wish to record both is because I am recording live dreams through a roland ekit and I want to make sure there is no latency between midi and the ekit. (as well as having midi back up for an easy stereo mixdown)

    thanks again
