How do I edit one bar to half a bar in song creator?

I am working on my song in song creator. I need to shorten a 4 beat bar to 2 beats

or half a bar. Insert a new block on a half bar instead of the start  of the bar. How do I do it?

Superior Drummer 3 version: 3.1.7
Operating system: Windows 8.1

You can use the scissors tool to cut chords to any length you need.

ps. if you are unaware, zooming out on the track exposes the beats & further subdivisions.
