Hi,
I am absolutely loving Ez drummer 2! It is seriously inspirational. However when I find a groove I like, but want to change 1 or 2 hits (usually to help tailor the kick pattern to the guitar riffs) I can’t seem to find a way to edit individual notes. How would I go about doing this?
If this is something that is not possible then I would highly recommend releasing an update with it included (piano roll option?).
I should also add. I am aware of the ‘Amount’ of hits function but this isn’t really helping my problem. I know the exact hits that I want to edit inside of the EZDrummer 2 interface but I can’t seem to find a way of doing this? The piano roll in my DAW seems to be the only option, however this takes it outside of the EZD2 UI.
Thanks,
Paul
Hi,
you have the possibility to cut a groove up and then remove a particular instruments hits there and either copy from another pattern, Tap2Find or record to the Song Track with a MIDI controller.

To add to that, as John mentions, if you split your groove where necessary you can then also adjust the volume of the hits you are wanting to edit.

Yeah but it’s not an easy option….
Being able to open the piano roll would make things so much easier when you have to alter thing to suit your music….. You guys should really think about it as an update… Still a great product
Why not just use your DAWs PR?

Because part of the beauty is you can use this program off line which comes in very handy

Yeah, you COULD do this, but you shouldnt need too. We can algorithmically add in hits in a fashion that a real drummer could, but cant say to him, “Add a kick on the 3”? Thats seems just a little silly to me.
I understand and the feature would be welcome. But lets face it, EZ2 is not a DAW. Your major edits should take place there. You don’t have these features in SP2 either.

Well, as I mentioned earlier, it is possible to cut up parts, record from a controller directly ti the Song Track, use the Tap2Find or copy a Kick from another pattern, so you have several options to add that Kick to the Song Track. Verbally is not an option yet but it would be cool…
