I just bought my first SDX yesterday and I’m trying to figure out how to apply the same pads from the default config (4 Cymbals, 4 Toms, Snare, Hi-Hat, Kick)Â to the Legends of Rock SDX. The only piece that’s missing is the additional Rack Tom, but I would like to be able to add it globally to all the LoR kits, if possible.
I tried the Add Instrument process, but the Rack Tom appears like a Stacked Instrument in the upper left instead of being mounted on the kick like the other Rack Tom. Is that something that I should be able to do or is that an unrealistic expectation? Is there a 4th Tom even available in the LoR kits? I would be okay with a copy of the existing Rack Tom that I could change the pitch on for each kit, if that’s a more practical application.
I can’t imagine that this is an unusual request, so hopefully there’s an existing video I can watch to help me get it configured.
Thanks in advance,
Paul
Legends of Rock? I don’t see that SDX in the store. Don’t you mean Legacy of Rock? If so that SDX only has 1 rack tom in it’s normal setup. Any extra kit piece you add will always be in that upper left corner and can’t be added to the kit like you would a physical drum.

He probably does mean Legacy of Rock.
In answer to the question:
Is there a 4th Tom even available in the LoR kits
What you see is how Eddie Kramer recorded them as the kits are reproductions of what John Bonham, Charlie Watts and Mitch Mitchell played. That’s not saying that. you can’t add a new tom. However, it will appear as Jack stated: in the upper left corner as an additional instrument.
You can’t copy and paste instruments per se, but you can work around this by saving your instrument as a user instrument (right click the kit piece to do so) and then adding the user instrument as an additional instrument. You can work with it from there.
