You can enable the envelope and set a short release and trigger it with either an aftertouch or note off. This will cut off the reverse cymbal.

More specific: in the Envelope property box (right of the drum kit):

    • Select the Release node
    • Set it so it has the fade out you want (100 ms for example)
    • Set the release to trigger to either Aftertouch or Note Off (length of the note)
      • if you want to control the audio cut off with the note length, you should right click the cymbal header in the Grid Editor and select “Show Note Length” so you can set the length of the note you want.

Hi @Bear-Faced Crow and @ henrik~ Thanks for your reply 🙂

    Hi Henrik~

I couldn’t find the “Show Note Length” in the Envelope property box. And on a side note, actually i import an audio file that has the reverse cymbal sound into SD3 under “import audio file”. Hence couldn’t understand when you mentioned about the “cymbal header” in the Grid Editor.

When i right click on the Release Node in the Grid Editor, only the following attached screenshot is shown.

Is it possible to control the audio cut off with another trigger? what is the difference between “After touch” and “Note off”?

    Cheers,
    Jacelyn
