    Hi Mike,

a Clean DI guitar would definitely be easier to work with than a distorted guitar.

I like to have the ‘Amount’, “Articulations” and “Velocity” lanes visible when working with tracked audio,  makes it a bit easier, I think.

Is there something in particular that you have problems with when converting to MIDI?

    Hi John

    Thank you for the reply.

Yes the DI track was certainly a lot better but very much off the mark.

    To explain my issue:

When I recorded a DI track I played it back and recorded the audio as midi in EZbass.

Now let us say the rhythm was as simple as:

    Low E: 0 0 5 3 5 0 0 5 5 3 5 0 5 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5

The first part before the repetition of 6 and 5 is just one long E note. Then it recognises the separate 6 and 5 notes so in essence I get midi showing

    Low E: 0————6 6 6 6 6 6 5 5 5 5 5

If I take that DI track, load it into Variaudio, export the audio as midi and drag the midi into ezbass the notes are perfect albeit no articulation.

This tells me the DI track is fine, the midi that is extracted is fine from that audio is fine but the audio recording and conversion in EZBass isnt.

    Going to try again later

    Mike
