Hotkeys For Qwerty Keyboard Using Reaper on Big Sur

I watched a few videos on using virtual midi keyboard to make your beats in “Tap2Find”. But it wasn’t working for me. I get nothing from any keyboard key I press.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to get this to work? I am using EzDrummer 2 with Reaper on a Mac Mini M1.

I really don’t want to use my mouse to click back and forth on the kick, snare, high-hats and ect.

Hi,

hit Alt/Option+B to view the Virtual Keyboard in Reaper. By Default the left and right arrow keys move the A,Z,S,X,D, etc octaves down and up.

Nope, doesn’t work. As I stated in my initial post. I have the virtual keyboard open. But NONE of the keys on my keyboard do anything. Not even the arrow keys as you mention.

I just want to press a key and it hits the kick or the snare or whatever.

Again, I have an M1 Mac Mini using Reaper.
