So I just installed EZDrummer (my gawd… what a pain THAT was!
Can’t believe they are still shipping 2009 software on the DVD,
that’s useless – had to do a fresh download – lots of other
hassles on install).
My computer is Win7-64, REAPER 64. After the annoying install
of EZD, I then downloaded their 64-bit “patch” – REAPER finds
the VSTi just fine (even though EZD did NOT install the .dll
where I told it to… no biggie – just pointed REAPER. But
another annoyance of EZD). It seems to bridge fine…
But it crashes if you do ANYTHING other than play the first
groove you pick… turning knobs or doing any other action
just makes it stop. The only “fix” is to restart REAPER, but
it just repeats.
I also can’t drag the MIDI groove into the track – not sure
if I’m just doing something wrong…. I thought any REAPER
track would take a MIDI drop. I just get “1 of 1 item could
not be imported”… then EZD crashes. “insert MIDI item” makes
no difference… same result.
Any suggestions? I really want to use EZD (along with Jamstix
that I also recently purchased)…. maybe I just need to go
REAPER 32 and ignore that 16GB of wonderful new RAM in my computer… 🙁
