Hit Variation w/ V Drum

I think I may already know the answer to my question, but just wanted to check. If I’m using SD3 as a VST for live V-Drum playing (on a Zendrum) is there any reason to leave Hit Variation active? Turning it off may also ease CPU load? Thanks!
