HI,
I’m using SD3 with Roland TD-17kvx E drums. A couple of issues I need help with if possible..
Several of the kits, particularly electronic ones, create a constant hissing noise once the kit is loaded. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I am also having issues with Hi Hat setup. Im using the Roland v-10 hi hats. I have setup and calibrated the hats in the module. When playing the module sounds the hats are perfect and have the whole range of sound from tight closed through to fully open. Once I am using superior drummer, the hats can never achieve a tight, fully closed “chick” sound. They sound partially open. The rest of the response is normal, just no fully closed sound. Any Ideas?
Thanks.

From manual page 262 in my generated pdf
“Some E-Drum modules only allow for a maximum value of 90 which by default
would not trigger tightly closed Hi-Hats. The solution would be to use the Hi-Hat
Calibration Mode, or alternatively the “Close Even More” preset in the Hi-Hat
Presets menu. Finally you could also adjust the slider points manually by moving
the slider points for the Hi-Hat Pedal Control up so that the Tight articulation is at
90 (or the max value of your module CC04 data) and then move all subsequent
anchor points up in a evenly distributed manner.”
…and the “hiss” is probably an effect on one of the channels in the mixer, e.g. “vinyl”.
