When hitting open or half open HH – and then press pedal – it produce distinc tick sound on every changed CC4 value.
So you get a smatter of tick sounds to fully closed – each level I can see open5, as open, then open3, open2, open1 and then tight.
This is not what I expect. It sound really odd and not useful. It does not sound like that when slowly closing a hit on open HH.
How do I adjust this?
I can see there are no footctrl 44 in between so edrum engine, DTXPRESS IV Special, do it right.
It’s Avatar original from SD2 now.
Problem seem to be that new CC4 retrigger something – wrong sample?
Thanks.
..continued….. it seems it should be played like legato is often handled, that attack is skipped – but this is not done, sample is played like the same articulation and a note was hit.
So new CC4 and no note in between – skip attack part of sample – should work better I think.
Thanks again for reading…
..never mind, I bought Addictive Drums – they know how a hihat – the most expressive part of kit, should be handled. Not this toyish way SD do it.
It’s goodbye TT from me, yet another alienated long time user….
Not at all – it works fine in AD2.
When moving foot controller between each of 6 levels, as I recall, you get stick tip sound every step.
This should not happend unless you have hit hihat inbetween.
So you get a ritsch-effect hitting controller all closed, and drop pedal up and down – ticketiticketticketticketi all the way.
