Hi, i’ve jst purchased EZ Drummer 2 to do some recording. Everything’s triggering correctly apart from the HiHat foot controller!
When I tap the pedal, it has the closed hat sound, but also a cross stick sound from the snare at the same time! I’ve tried everything I can imagine including changing the midi settings in my drum module but nothing’s helping!
Any advise would be amazing.
I’m using a roland TD6V kit with midi to USB cable through my MacBook Pro.
Have you tried setting EZdrummer 2’s E-drums MIDI mapping to Roland? Found in the (top right) main Menu -> Settings…

Hi rileydrums!
Did you ever find a solution for this problem? I have the exact same issue here.
Hi La_Jungla,
are you using the Roland MIDI Mapping Preset in EZdrummer 2?

Hi John!
I’m using the Yamaha midi mapping preset (I’m using a Yamaha DTX500 drumkit).
Hi,
if you check the MIDI In, in the details for the HiHat, when you play the foot chick, do you see more than one note being triggered?
I suspect you will and the most likely cause for this is that you need to check the cross-talk settings for the HH and Snare in your module.

John
