Hi hat transitions and pedal sensitivity

I am having trouble with getting my hi hat transitions from close to open or vise versa to sound smooth. I have tried adjusting the pedal presets but nothing works. Even if I try to play a half open hi hat the sample jumps around from half open to fully open. When I watch the pedal meter in the hi hat settings it is jumping from “open 2” to “open 5” with no transition in between which seems to be the problem. I am using the DTX522k with HH65 hi hat controller. I attached a mp3 below of the hi hat sounds.

i’ve had that same problem from the beginning. Still haven’t figured it out

Can you:

• Open the MIDI In/E-drums page in Settings, and in there:
• Enable Use Preset (top left side)
• Select Hi-Hat Pedal tab (on the right side)
• Click the select hh pedal CC control
• Now you should see a hi-hat calibration control
  • press “Start Calibration”
  • do as the instructions say (press the foot control, release the foot control, etc)
• Does it work better now?
  • if not, what’s the minimum and maximum CC values your foot pedal sends?
  • does it look “smooth”, e.g. does the CC meter go from min to max without jumps?

Same issue here, Im using a Roland TD-12 module with FD-7 controller… Cant seem to get a smooth transition no matter what I do….
