hi hat pedal sound too low

I recently started using Ezdrummer 3 with my MIDI keyboard and usually use the bright room preset. I’m new to drums and began learning the hi-hat pedal in offbeats together with the ride cymbal rhythms. In my MIDI keyboard, I use the G#2 for the hi-hat pedal sound but I almost can’t hear it among the ride, snare, etc. I have tried another drum vst and I don’t have that problem there. Is there a way to increase the volume for the pedal articulation? It’s fine with the open and closed hi-hat though.
