Hi-hat open edge 5 not mapped

Hello.

I’d like to get open edge 5 into my hi-hat articulations list for some total rocking out but currently S3 says this is not mapped.

I am using a TD12 preset in e-drums.

How can I add this in?

BEST ANSWER

You need to do 2 things:

Start by selecting the hi-hat in the drums tab

1. Add a MIDI note to the articulation
   1. in the MIDI Mapping box to the right: click the menu on the Open Edge 5 (it’s the icon with 3 bars on the right side of it)
      1. Select Add Suggested Note – this will add a MIDI note to that articulation
2. Then enable the articulation
   1. In the Articulations menu (top right corner of the drums tab), press the Power button on the Open Edge 5 articulation

This should make your hi-hat play the open edge 5 when most opened
