When exporting a midi in SD3 everything except for the hi hat comes through. The midi file shows the hi hat hits but there is no sound. All other cymbals and drums work properly. The midi file is importing into Logic Pro if that makes a difference. HELP PLEASE.
Hi,
are you using Toontrack MIDI to build a Song on the Song Track or is it custom made?
Do you have any MIDI mapping preset active in SD3? Are there any active transforms in Logic?

Thanks for the reply John,
I build my drum / percussion within SD3 via Presonus Pro-5. however, when exporting midi I do that through SD3 not Presonus. I have not messed with midi mapping but have browsed through the settings comparing the snare (which comes through perfectly) with the HH. Those setting match. As for active transforms in logic………….I must plead ignorance. I am not familiar with where this is or what it means. Hopfully, this could be the fix?
What is odd is the HH hits show up (visually) in the midi file but there’s just no sound.
Do you Export via the Song Track Menu or do you lasso select the parts on the Song Track and drag-and-drop to your Logic Track?
Would it be possible for you to ZIP archive the Logic song (without any audio, just the Logic Project file) and attach it to a post here?
BR,
John

Hi,
when I import that MIDI file it plays back HH as (I guess) intended. The MIDI file itself does not provide much info why you do not hear the HH in Logic. There’s no difference for me if I import that MIDI to a Logic track; it plays back HH.
If possible, I would like to have a look at the Logic project where HH does not play back as expected.

John
