EDIT: User error! I had my hihat tension way too high, so the hihat stand itself was the reason for the cymbal to hit hard upwards.. I am leaving this here in case anyone else runs into it
Hi<strong data-start=”166″ data-end=”173″>,
I just got a new TD-27KV2 and have it set up properly with Superior Drummer 3.But compared to my old TD-17KVX, I’m running into a frustrating issue with the hi-hat.
Whenever I <strong data-start=”355″ data-end=”378″>let go of the pedal, it triggers a hit — not a splash, but an <strong data-start=”421″ data-end=”451″>”open edge” or “open bell” sound, like I’m actually striking the cymbal with the tip of a stick. It happens every single time I lift my foot, and it feels really unnatural and digital.
I never had this problem with my TD-17KVX, and honestly… I kind of miss it because of this.
Is there any way to <strong data-start=”724″ data-end=”765″>tweak or disable this behavior in SD3? Maybe something in the hi-hat CC or velocity settings?
Would love some advice — this one’s driving me nuts. Thanks in advance!
