Hi Hat Choking

I cannot figure out how to choke my open and closed hi hats so that they do not overlap. I watched videos but have not yet got a clearly precise, straight to the point video on how to do that. Please help me with this in a straight to the point way so that I can do this.

Have you tried Pedal Closed to choke open hits?

If your midi came from an ekit, CC data may be overriding your programming.

I usually will import my own sounds. But it should still choke as with other drum machines. I haven’t tried pedal choking.

Hi,

are you trying to use your own samples on the HH? This will not work as expected.  EZdrummer 3 is not a drum machine per se.

Yes, I do try to use my own samples. But I also have the ADSR Drum machine so I use that for my hats now.
