Not sure what you mean by off beat. Can you post a link to an example of what you are talking about?

Molotone.. in normal 4/4, etc., highhats are on the beat… 1. 2. 3. 4.  When played off beat, they are struck on the “ands” of the beat 1 AND 2 AND 3 AND etc…    Have no idea what you mean by “Also an OFF BEAT Hi-Hat would be more like a FUTURE INSTRUMENT as the Sound starts before and ends ON the beat.”

Hi PipeDreams, you got me completely right. On a 4/4 the 1,2,3,4 are ON beat and the 1/8 inbetween (the ANDS) are OFF beat. e.g. SKA-Rythms are all like that. You can play the Hi-Hat on these Beats for example with a hit on every AND and than closing the pedal with every beat. Actually this would be two atriculations, one by the stick an one with the pedal. I hope I could explain myself a little better.

Try dragging this to your track and see if it’s what you’re looking for. (it’s zipped)

In Superior you can move the tight edge to closed pedal in the grid editor and it would be (I think) exactly what you are looking for.

I just played in on my keyboard with a tight edge.
