I recently rearranged my midi map not realizing it would move the hits within the SD3 grid. Hats get played on the ride now, oops.
I put a lot of work into this kit and need to keep using it but can I somehow recall the default midi map? Or can I pull up a kit and mixer preset without changing the midi map? Any solution other than, what, writing out a default midi map and manually reset it within my new kit?
cheers
Hi,
it sounds like you changed the MIDI layout on the Drums page which, while totally possible to do, as you have noticed moves things around in the Grid Editor and breaks compatibility with Toontrack MIDI.
If you wish to change the layout while still keeping compatibility with Toontrack or previously recorded MIDI, the better way is to create a MIDI In/E-drums MIDI Map on its relevant page.
To load either just a Kit into a Preset with correct MIDI Mapping or loading Factory MIDI Mapping into a Kit, the ‘Select Parts’ option is your friend. You find it right next to the Preset name, under the down arrow.
