Hi,
I previously used Ezdrummer with Nuendo 3 and did fine; however, now I am trying to use it with Cubase 5 and I am having some issues.
I cannot get Ezdrummer to sync to my project tempo. No matter what I do it stays the original tempo that it was created (unless i choose 1/2, 1x or 2x). For example, if I am looking to sync to a project tempo of 84bpm how can I get Ezdrummer to sync up with Cubase 5?
What is happening is that the events of my prerecorded audio (i.e.vocals/guitar) move when I change the project tempo and Ezdrummer does not change it’s bpm to align with the project tempo.
My questions are how can I get Ezdrummer to sync up with my prerecorded audio bpms and how can I keep the events from moving on me when I change the project tempo?
I appreciate your thoughts on this, Gurus!
Amy
You can try switching from ‘Musical Time Base’ to ‘Linear Time Base’ on each audio track. This will keep your audio tracks from moving when you change tempo.

So, if you set your audio tracks to linear time and change the tempo, the audio track still move? That doesn’t sound right. I use Cubase 4, not C5, and I’m not in my studio ATM but I’ll check later and report back.

Okay, I figured something out…if you lock all your audio tracks…then leave the midi drums in musical mode (unlocked) they will sync to the project tempo
while the other files remain unmoved. This is working so far…
I’m importing an old 8 track tape into Reaper.
How do I get EZ drummer 3 to detect the tempo?

EZdrummer version: 3.0.6

Hi there,
I don’t use Reaper, but if the imported recording wasn’t recorded to a click track (or the bpm isn’t known) you should create a tempo map in Reaper, and the EZD 3 plug-in will follow the host tempo.
