First, please uninstall the ‘Lite’ version from the Add/Remove Programs (if on Windows XP) or from Programs and Features (in Vista or Win 7).

Then, right click the EZdrummer zip file and choose ‘extract all’, then run the installer for the full upgrade.

I have done that. Several times. It doesn’t unzip. It only opens up the installers for EZXCocktail and EZDrummer.
When I run the installer it allows me to begin the run process. I “accept the terms…” ect. But as soon as it says
“installing” I get the 1309 error code.

Thank you for your help in this matter

    It doesn’t unzip.

    I don’t understand.

If you open the zip file and drag the folders inside onto your desktop, what happens? Do you get an error?

If you try to run the installer while it is still zipped, you will get a 1309 error.

Thanks for the fast response Scott. I am not showing as option to unzip the folder. If I double click or right click there are no options
to unzip. Only open the folder and files. That is where the installer is

I don’t get an error at that point.

I will start from scratch here…

I download the file from your site
It shows the downloaded as complete
When I right click there are my options: Open
                                                          Open Containing Folder
                                                          Go to Download Page
                                                          Copy Download Link
                                                          Select All
                                                          Remove from list

If I “open” the file it goes to the folder named: TT119_EZD
If I open that file my options are: (Folder) Documention
                                                  (Folder) Install
                                                  Read Me

If I open the Install Folder it shows: Common (Folder)
                                                     EZHOME (Folder)
                                                     Program Files (Folder)
                                                     Windows (Folder)
                                                     EZDrummer installer
                                                     EZXCocktail installer

    OK.

Here’s what I want you to do. Please follow these steps.

    – Download the TT119_EZdrummer_Lite_Upgrade_WIN.zip to your Desktop location.
    – When the download is complete, CLOSE the ‘Downloads’ window and go to your desktop. Do Not right click on the folder in the Downloads window and open it.
    – There should be a folder on your desktop named ‘TT119_EZdrummer_Lite_Upgrade_WIN.zip’
    – This file (looks like a folder with a zipper around it) needs to be unzipped. Right click on this folder that is located on your desktop and select ‘Extract All’.
    – It will extract a folder with the same name (it will look like a folder without a zipper around it).
    – This newly created folder will contain the EZDrummer installer and EZXCocktail installer.
    – Run the EZdrummer installer.
    – Run the EZXCocktail installer.

Here’s a youtube video of the process (it doesn’t specifically use EZdrummer but the above process is shown). Start paying attention at the :11 mark with the ‘Select the Desktop for the save destination’.

Ok Scott.. here is the deal…

For whatever reason when I originally did it I did not save it to the desktop (obviously)
Then when I searched for it the only thing that popped up was the other folder with the
installers in it. At any rate…
It works now! Thank you for your patience and guidance. Good Man!

    Doug
